What does the new Apple Carplay software mean for your iPhone?

A new update for Apple’s iPhone and iPad software, Apple CarPlay, is now available for iPhone and iPod touch owners.

The update for iOS 11.2 brings a number of new features to the system, including the ability to add and remove music libraries, and the ability for a user to skip or rewind tracks in an iTunes Music Library, as well as adding the ability, if the device supports it, to share music libraries with a friend on the same iPhone or iPad.

The new update is available to users of the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone SE, and iPhone 7, as it’s being rolled out across the Apple Store.

The iOS 11 update will be available for download in the coming days, and it’s expected to arrive in Apple’s App Store as well.

The iPhone and Apple Watch apps also received an update to iOS 11 last week, and now the company has updated the two apps for the latest iOS update.

The Apple Watch app for iOS and Mac is also now available as an update.
