Subaru recalls 4,000 vehicles due to faulty GPS system

Subaru recalled 4,200 vehicles in Australia due to a faulty GPS navigation system.

The vehicles were sold from July 1 to Sept. 30, 2019.

They are equipped with an online GPS navigation app and are equipped to display a satellite navigation system map when the vehicle is stopped at a stop sign.

Subaru said that the faulty GPS software had a remote reset function that could not be turned off.

It also reported that there was no software update available.
